As a young girl, I swam at various different clubs up to regional level. I qualified as a Swimming Teacher (Swim England Level 1 and Level 2) in 2002. Growing up I always had a love for swimming, after going to University and gaining my Psychology degree, I qualified as a Primary School teacher in 2002 and worked in the sector for 14 years, specialising in Early Years. After having my two children, I wanted a career change, but still wanted to work with children, so my Mum (Diane) encouraged me to become a swimming teacher. Read More

I started to swim for Preston Swimming Club at the age of 6 years old, from there, I trained and competed with the Northern County Squad across the UK! My first job was as a Draughtswoman and after having my three girls, I set up Glover’s Swim School in 1983, I set up the school after recognising a need for a swim school that gave children individual attention, water confidence and gentle encouragement – with a focus on ensuring correct stroke technique was taught from the earliest formative years.
